A lot of my relatives and friends visited me, after they see this flower, they sure asked me to give them some for bring back home to plant it.
- just knew that this little tiny bud from the flower can be eaten, it taste like apple, sour and sweet combination, very special taste, and it grows everyday, non stop of supply ... But I'm not sure whether or we can consume this daily....

ReplyDeleteSonia, I have something like this in my garden but mine is with white flower on top and it's called "Costus Speciosa". May be you should try planting some fencing orchids in your garden, the flowers last longer and it's not that difficult to take care too!! Go to My Garden and see the beautiful orchids!!

ReplyDeleteThe last shot is pretty good and I do like it! A good macro shot, sharp focus, great background. I like the 1st shot is because it shows great detail of the flower.

ReplyDeleteI also have this at home. A lot of it and it keep growing. By the way this plant belongs to the ginger family.
ReplyDeleteits called "Shell ginger" or Alpinia Zerumbet. I used to have pleanty of it growing at my old home- i've never tried but my friends have tried the root and it tastes like a cross between ginger and galangal
