Stir fried black pepper squid

I like to cook this simple stir fried squid whenever i bought some fresh squid from wet market.

A very simple Chinese stir fry recipe for squid as it only need few ingredients, you might replace it with chicken, prawn or etc, it will work well too. This stir fry squid is best served with steamed white rice.


Stir fried black pepper squid

500g squid, cleaned, cut into bite size
1 onion, cut wedged
1 red pepper, wedged
1 green pepper, wedged
2 spring onion, cut 1” length
1” ginger, sliced
1tbsp chopped garlic

1tbsp black pepper powder
1tbsp oyster sauce
1tbsp light soy sauce
1tbsp Chinese wine
Salt to taste

Method
1. Heat oil in a wok high heat, sauté ginger, onion and chopped garlic till aroma.
2. Add in squid, red and green pepper, and add in seasoning, quickly stir fry for few minutes.
3. Add in spring onion, mix well, dish out and serve warm with steamed rice.
