Fried Tapioca Noodle and my son

Yesterday we enjoyed our lunch "Fried Tapioca Noodle" at our favorite spot in our house-patio area. My youngest son Desmond wanted to be a model during the photo shooting.

Here you go, my cutest son Desmond - a 5 years old boy....

  2. Emily, no, it is "Cer Hoon Kern", mix tapioca flour (tepung ubi kayu) and hot water to become dough and cut into rectangular shape. Boil in hot water before stir fry hokkien style. A very delicious dish.

  4. Bakeling,靓仔 ler, he has the same birthday with another 靓仔 Singer Li Hon.
Ya, my husband taught me on how to use camera to take nice photos. Next time, you will see only nice photos, hehehe. But this time I dont know how to print my blog name on the photo, do you know how?

This dish only Hokkien people know how to cook, quite tedious to prepare the noodle, you can buy it from wet market, but it will not taste so good.

  15. Suesue, it is very easy, just mix hot water and tapioca flour (tepung ubi kayu) till a dough, then cut to rectangular size. Once done, boil the noodle in hot water, when you see the color change and it float, that means the noodle is done. Transfer to cold water and keep till you start to cook it.
I just cook like normal Hokkien style fried noodle.

  17. I want to let you know how grateful I am to have found this tapioca noodle recipe of yours. For health reasons I recently converted my diet & lifestyle to the Primal Blueprint which means I shouldn't consume wheat or rice-based products as well. Being Chinese and having had a lifelong love-affair with my rice and noodles, this has been difficult. But as tapioca flour is a neutral ingredient in the Primal Blueprint diet, I had been searching for ways to make some sort of noodle with it. And yours is by far the most achievable and most delicious-looking dish. So, thank you so much for posting this :)
