Switzerland, Zollikofen/Bern, Breakfast & Lunch, Part 2

1) Breakfast at Hotel Gasthof Tiefenau

-Not like the usual buffet breakfast serving in the hotels here, they just ready the breakfast on the table. Croissants, bread, cheese, ham, salami and yogurt all are very fresh.

- Each guest will get a small pot of coffee or tea (depend your preference) . They served very nice coffee.

-This is not Lorenzo "sofa" but Lorenzo "sugar", hehehe...

-
- On the last day of check out, they served a very special bread for us. The appearance look similar like something, you can have your own imagination, hahaha.
The skin of the bread is croissant, inside is a big sausage ( they called Bratwurst). I forgot to take the photo of the inside, the bread is so nice until I finished it only realized that I have not took the picture. I must learn how to bake this, but first I need to learn how to bake croissant ?

2) Lunch at "Bern" train station
- When we walked around the Bern area, we took a quick lunch at "Bern" train station.
All the stalls in this shop just purely sell all kind of bakery items e.g croissant, bread, sandwiches, cake and etc, unlike Malaysia's hawker stalls have multiple of choices....

- I tried the cheese tart and the taste was great.
p/s I will be back on next post for the dinners which I took at Zollikofen

Colin, croissants in Europe is the best.

Nancy, hahaha, my husband told me the same thing, he said the bread eat until his mounth so pain. But I have no problem on it, I like the bread hard outside but soft inside, best to accompany with cup of coffee.
