Zoo Negara

I brought my kids to Zoo Negara yesterday since it was a Public Holiday (Wesak). And this is also my own rule for every my kid must visit Zoo at least once, as to let them get to know how the animals looks like. . So this was my 3rd times but for youngest son Desmond was 1st time to Zoo, he was really excited to get to know all animals in the Zoo, but my daughter felt so boring as she has been to Zoo for 3 times already, hehehe...
This zoo still looks the same when every time I visited, the only thing difference is the animals are getting older, hahaha..

Sonia, you are very hardworking, taking the trouble to go all the way to the zoo! It's so hot! Thanks for posting the photos, now I know the zoo still looks the same as compared to the last time I was there, which was years ago!I wondered if that is the same turtle that I saw? lol!

My 2 year old Lydia loves the Zoo, she tried to call every animal by name. It's nice to see she knew almost every animal. Well, she can't differentiate between a seladang and a cow, so she'll call them as cows too. Baboons she'll call monkeys, but orang utan she'll call them Rangbutan. At least she knows what it looks like.

Kids can find out so much about animals when we visit a zoo. Don't think they'll ever forget. Hope it is well maintained.

It's been awhile since the last time I visited the Zoo Negara. Haha.. It's true, I guess the zoo won't change much, only changes it's the age of the animals xD

I can't even remember when was the last time I went to the zoo. I think when Diana was 5 years old and now she is 23 ha ha. I remember she only enjoyed riding the pony. That was a long time ago :)

This brought back alot of memories for me. Now I only go to the zoo when I bring overseas visitors. You should bring kids to Singapore - we have a really good zoo and the night safari too... Though I have noticed that some kids get quite scared by the dark, night atmosphere of the night safari...

Sonia, you must go visit Melaka Zoo! Much much better than Zoo Negara. I think it's about double the size! More animals. I love S'pore Zoo, just because of the polar bears & cheetahs. We can also see them up-close near the glass window.

May be you can visit KL Bird Park for next activity, highly recommended by me.

Used to take my son to the zoo ... at least once a week (got a yearly pass) ... even during winter time when some of the animals are inside hiding from the cold.

Now he is older (5+) he tells me it's boring!

Anyway, Thanks for posting the pics! It's been at least 30 yrs since I've been to Zoo Negara!
