Stir-fried bean sprouts with pickled mustard green

Just cooked this dish just now, quickly write it down the recipe and have it post immediately, before i forgot to post it (not actually forgot but i always tend to attracted by other nicer pictures ^_^). The idea of this dish was came from my husband who tasted this dish in a restaurant. Since i still have homemade pickled mustard green, so i quickly try it out, and quite impressed with the yummy taste..I supposed they tried to replaced the usual salted fish added in this dish with pickled mustard...

If i tell you i never use MSG before, sound like i fool you. I use MSG but not that frequent, usually i will add in to the simple stir fry vegetable dish to enhance the taste, example like this dish. This is the type of MSG or gourmet powder i use which my mom use it all this while. So i think it is ok to use a little. I was fed with this by my mom since young and i still grown up so big size, should be alright, hahaha..

Did you use MSG in your cooking? If yes, which type that you use?

Saliva drooling looking at this dish. I like beansprouts and more on pickled mustard too! But no, I don't use MSG. I usually will put some sugar in my cooking of dishes (act as a MSG lor...)

I like this stir fry with poach chicken.. Yum. My mum used to use this MSG but I never cook with this at all. However I use Lee Kum Kee chicken powder which I suppose got lots of MSG in it.

Sonia, this is a very homey dish. I make this very often with the addition of salted fish. Except that I hate throwing those beansprout root. A lot of work! hehe...
Enjoy your week.

This looks like a good recipe for the pickled mustard green packet that has been in the cupboard for ages, thank you! I use msg for the same reasons as you. Not sure which brand but it doesn't come in a fancy box, haha.

mmm this is a new way of stir-frying beansprouts. I like it and can't wait to try this out. My mom too will add a bit of MSG to her stir-fry greens once a while as for me I don't. I just add a pinch of sugar to it.

No MSG in cooking& when we order food from the restaurant,we will ask for MSG-free,less salt&less oil becoz the children are going to eat the food with us! Simple food but great flavour! It reminds me of Ipoh's fatty spring sprouts!

i don't use MSG but my MIL does that Why her cooking always being praised so good & tasty specially by my son! Haha.... I would to try this recipe too! My favourite bean sprout is still the quick heat fry with shredded chili & salty fish!

This is interesting. I've always had fried taugeh with salted fish or plain with garlic but never with pickled mustard greens. What a great idea! I must try this next time!

I love simple veggie dish like this. I'd love to try this pickled mustard green! Must be delicious. :-)

My mom also use that exact type of MSG! Haha! But not in every dish she cooks. Certain ingredients are really bland and a bit would help but we have to personally watch our own intake.

Wen said...

My aunt uses Vetsin too. According to her, this is the premium msg and is fine to consume as compared to those commercial type.

Your vegetables dish is lovely too!
