Stir Fried Black Pepper Beef with Strawberry

The other day we tried this dish at a Chinese restaurant  nearby (As recommended by Missyblurkit) . I was very impressed with this black pepper beef with strawberry, juicy beef with strong black pepper aroma and sweetish tangy strawberry. Few weeks later, i imatated this at home..and the taste is almost close to that restaurant.

Delicious beef dish you have cooked here. Hmm....and using strawberryberry in beef dish is really something so unique and special. I loves to eat beef but have to cut down red meat. Looking forward to see all your beautiful pictures from now on.

Delish! Love the red contrast of strawberries! You know I saw a similar recipe on a recipe book recently but with pork ribs. I was tempted to try but didn't have strawberries at home, haha! Ok, will take note of your recipe too, thanks ya!

it looks so good, i love black pepper beef and, by the way, what is dark caramel sauce,is different from dark soy sauce?

That's new to me! It does look very delicious and the strawberries certainly add a nice color. I can imagine the tang of the strawberries offsetting the pepper and saltiness ... nice!

Sounds and looks wonderful, and the strawberry is a nice twist :) It reminds me of Vietnamese "shaking beef" (Bo luc lac). Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Nice nice photos, very bright & like the "blur blur" part, hahaha! So are these photos taken by the special lens that you told me b4, the one that you said very good with food one? In regard of this dish, my mother-in-law also cooked it few weeks ago & she said that she learned it from the TV cooking show. I didn't have it becoz I don't eat it becoz I don't eat beef mah!

Mmmmm, the strawberry adds such a vibrant colour to this dish. :)

I'm starting to be warm towards sweet and savoury together. The tart of the strawberry probably would have brought out the peppery taste! I'm glad you experimented and shared with us your find!
