Chicken Curry Chinese Style

This is a typical Chinese style of Chicken Curry and this is the way how my mom used to cook. And we also like to serve this style Chicken curry in any kind of party e.g. Birthday party, Baby full month party & etc and usually to eat together with fried mee hoon (rice vermicelli) or fried noodles. Chinese style of chicken curry is slightly difference from Indian style as we do not add so many kinds of spices like cinnamon, cumin, coriander & etc.

Awwww....Sonia, you already make me miss home having be back in Adelaide for just a week. My grandma used to cook this often during prayers and we would substitute half the coconut milk with evaporated milk just to make things healthier. And the gravy, we soak it up with Gardenia bread, it's yummy, reminiscing hometown food. Thank you!

Hi Sonia
May I know if you are using pre-packed coconut milk or fresh ones? Are they different? Which brand do you use? Thanks.
Felicia

Sonia ~ Nasi Lemak Lover said...

Felicia, I use fresh coconut milk, maybe you can try Ayam brand coconut milk pack.

Hi Sonia
Finally, I tried your Chinese Style Chicken Curry and it was a success! This is my first try on curries and my mother in law is impressed by the outcome!
For all first timer, just note that it needs to take a longer time to cook the chicken before putting in the fried potatoes, otherwise it will turned messy.
Try ... and you will not regret!
Thanks Sonia for sharing!
