Simple recipe to share:-

1. Blanch okra in boiling water for 1min, drain and serve.
2. Serve with sambal belacan- pound red chillies, bird's eye chillies, garlic, ginger, freshly squeezed lime juices, belacan(dried shrimp paste) , sugar and salt)

Do enjoy Cooking !!!

Agreed with Anne & Ju, too! I normally stir-fry okra & sambal belacan together. Though it's not to hard to do that, your method probably gives us less work to do after cooking & eating LOL!

Those "hairy" okra makes me chuckle ...! =_=""

I notice that your belacan ada ginger . I thought belacan has no ginger inside ?

These ladies finger can be found in my fridge all the time because it 's a fast cooking veggie as I only cook the last minute when I feel hungry !

Hi all, at first I thought this is a quite normal way to eating okra, and now I realized that not many ppls know this, ok, if you are okra lover, you should try this way, no fry and no oil, simple and yet healthy.Happy Cooking!!!

Bakeling, actually it is very much up to us whether what to put inside the sambal belacan, ginger is good for us, why not add some?

Jane, your camera is EOS500? a very good camera ler. You should put some effort and learn how to use it, i'm sure your photos will become more pro and nice.
