Coconut bread buns 椰丝面包

Nowadays it is quite hard to get coconut buns at the bakery shop. After made the Hokkaido soft milk buns, immediately think of to bake some coconut buns, old schooled buns but taste nice! This bun smell so good as i wrapped it with pandan leaves!

My kids like to buy a type of match bread that wrapped with red bean paste and mochi from a nearby bakery shop. Also a Instagram friend requested me to make a nice red bean and mochi that she has tasted. So this is my version of red bean and mochi buns.

Finally I have used up the big pumpkin ^_^. I made this pumpkin loaf two days ago. I still used my preferred recipe which using cold milk, no egg and less butter. I also added some walnut in this bread.

Japanese Condensed Milk bread 日式炼奶面包


I rarely appear on my FB, so I don't know what is happening in there, unless my FB friends link that to me (Take this opportunity to say sorry to whom sent me the friend request, I didn't responded due to I don't update my FB). Usually I got to know the latest hot topic especially on new baking items from my Chinese blogger friends. Example like this popular Japanese condensed milk bread. Since I have all ingredients on hand, quickly make it for the next day breakfast. You should use Hokkaido condensed milk (if you have) to get the closer taste to original recipe which come from a Japanese website. But I just use sweetened creamer that we use in our daily Milo drink.

Plain White Loaf / Champion Toast 金牌土司


I have been looking for a good plain bread recipe that using direct dough method rather than overnight sponge dough, tangzhong, 17hrs dough & etc which requires ahead planning ( actually I have made this bread 3 times in a row). For time being, I don't think I will make all other methods of bread that I have tried out earlier. This bread was super good, stay soft till next day, and my family can't stop eating this bread. And this recipe just requires few basic ingredients and using less butter. This recipe came from the famous Taiwan's Master Baker Wu Pao Chun.

Micro butter buns (Wei Bo buns) 微波面包

This is a popular bread recipe especially among Chinese bloggers since last year. It was first published by Siew Hwei .I am not really sure why this bread in Chinese called 微波 (microwave), I guess due to this bread roll into layer and layer, look like wave. Initially, I was not sure how to name this bread in English. After tasted it, then I decided to name this bread as butter buns, because this bread recipe use more butter than normal bread recipe, and it taste a bit buttery. Anyway, this bun is soft and nice even kept for two days, definitely a keeper. ( as updated by reader Lynn, this bun called as Micro buns)

Mini Red Bean Buns 迷你红豆面包




When my daughter invited her best friends to our Mid-Autumn festival BBQ Party, her friends were so sweet, even gave me a baking cookbook as a gift. The title of the book is 星期天的烘培时光 by 郑荣仙.(a famous Korean cookbook writer).  There are many simple and nice baking recipes from this book, the first recipe i tried was this mini red bean buns..

Purple Sweet Potato buns 奶香紫薯面包



For the past few days, i was busy making few type of breads for breakfast. I was so happy able to make the sandwich roll that taste quite close to Subway sandwich roll. But I did not manage to take any photo as that time i was busy with something else. I will definitely make this again and will share with you the recipe soon. Come back today's recipe, it is the bread bun made by purple sweet potato, love the sweet purple colour and the soft texture..remain me of a very nice sweet potato bread that i tried in Das Gute Hong Kong....

Cranberry Cream Cheese Soft Buns


When i saw Shirely Kokken69 shared this Barcook's popular out-of-the-oven-this-minute-gone-next Raisin/Cranberry Cream Cheese bun, i was curious how the taste as i never eaten this famous bun before. After few days, while i fetching my kids from tuition class, we dropped by this famous bakery shop nearby the tuition centre(as i always saw a lot of peoples inside this bakery shop, so i supposed this shop is popular among the local). While i went through what to buy, i spot this cranberry cream cheese bun and it remind me Shirley Kokken69's post, immediately i buy one and try out. I immediate fall in love with this bun, it was so yummy, soft and fluffy bun , and i also love the cream cheese filling, simply yummy. The shape of this bun is like normal round bun and it look difference from Barcook's bun which is flat bun.
