I use the smaller ice cream scoop for this recipe. If you prefer chewy cookie, then you can use big ice cream scoop and the dough size have to at least golf ball size.
American Chocolate Chips Cookies 美式巧克力曲奇~60pcs(A)300g all purpose flour1tsp baking soda1tsp salt
(B)150g soft brown sugar40g oatmeal (raw) , I use rolled oats2tbsp corn flour(C)2 eggs230g butter70g caster sugar1tsp Vanilla extract160g semi-sweet chocolate chips ( I used sweet chocolate chips)Method1. Put ingredients (A) in a bowl and mix well, set aside.2. Put ingredients (B) in a blender and blend till fine.3. Add butter, caster sugar, vanilla extract and blended mixture (B) in a mixing bowl, beat till creamy. Add eggs and beat well.4. Gradually add in mixture (A) and mix well.5. Stir in chocolate chips and mix well. Wrap the dough in cling film wrap and chill in the fridge for 1-2 hrs.6. Just before baking, pre-heat oven to 170C. Bring out dough from the fridge ( the dough has to slightly firm), use a small ice cream scoop to scoop the dough on baking pan that lined with parchment paper, Space the cookies about 2-inches apart on the pans. If you want to make chewy cookie, then use big ice cream scoop.7. Bake one pan of cookies at a time in oven on center rack 20mins.8. Remove cookies from pan and cool on wire racks.

Joyce, you can reduce baking soda and add baking powder.
