Method
1. Using a handheld mixer, beat together margarine, sugar, eggs and flour until just smooth.
2. Divide the batter between 2 bowls. Add the melted chocolate to one bowl and stir until well mixed.
3. Using a teaspoon, and alternating the chocolate batter with the plain batter, fill ¾ full of paper case.
4. Bake the cupcakes in a pre-heated oven at 180c for 25mins, or until well risen and springy to the touch.

The marble cupcake looks simple and good.

I am sure it is very soft and puffy. I had made a marble loaf with all in method too, but too bad I forgot to copy the recipe before I return the book to library.

I think this is a real good alternative for Marble cakes, something that you can just eat in bite sized pieces.

Hi

I'm new to baking, not sure how to cream butter with sugar for making tarts. Do we use our hand, wooden spoon or mixer for creaming?

Thanks.

Such cute and perfectly baked cup cakes.

It looks simple but when I made it a couple of days ago, I realized that looks can really be deceiving. it looks simple but tastes great! My kids enjoyed it when we ate it during our picnic.

I love marble chocolate cake and I never thought of making some of this into cupcakes. Chocolate syrup are the best for toppings.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe..I just baked them this afternoon. Its so easy to make and the texture is velvety! I reduced the sugar to 120g & the sweetness is just right for me. However, I have a problem with cupcakes..the papercups will drop out after they are cooled. Do you have this problem? Do u bake your cupcakes in the lower rack or middle rack?

Many thanks
Chilliqueen :)

Thanks for sharing this recipe. How can I substitute self raising flour with plain flour or cake flour?
