Hot plate Spaghetti Napolitan 铁板日式蕃茄酱意大利面

I think this is a recipe that after i cooked, eaten and immediately share it here ^_^ because this spaghetti is very yummy and easy to cook. I got to know this Spaghetti Napolitan from a Japanese movie called " Midnight Canteen" 深夜食堂".

Today lunch only left me and my daughter. So I told my daughter i am going to cook this spaghetti that using tomato ketchup. She was curious will it taste nice or not, since tomato ketchup tasted raw and fishy ( not sure what word best to describe it, LOL). But at the end, she was the one eaten the biggest portion ^_^

You can just cook this spaghetti without using hot plate. If you have one, use it, the omelette mix with this spaghetti, make it even tasty!

Hot plate Spaghetti Napolitan 铁板日式蕃茄酱意大利面
*serves 2-3pax

200g spaghetti
3 sausages, sliced ( I use chili flavoured sausages)
¼ yellow onion, sliced
¼ yellow capsicum, sliced
¼ green capsicum, sliced

5tbsp tomato ketchup ( I use Maggi brand)
1/2tbsp Okonomi sauce ( you may replace with tonkatsu sauce or Worcestershire sauce)
1tbsp parmesan cheese powder
Salt

2 eggs, lightly beaten

Method
1.      Boil the spaghetti in hot boiling water (add salt and olive oil) till al dente. Drained and set aside.
2.      Mix tomato ketchup and okonomi sauce with few tablespoon of cooked pasta water to dilute it. Heat a pan with olive oil, sauté yellow onion and sausages till light brown.
3.      Add in both capsicums, stir to mix well. Then add in cooked spaghetti and some cooked pasta water, mix well.
4.      Add in tomato ketchup and Okonomi sauce, and salt, stir to mix well. Last add in parmesan cheese, combine well and dish out.
5.      Heat a hot plate, grease with cooking oil, add in beaten egg, before egg turned to be set, pour in cooked spaghetti on top. Serve hot.

This reminds me of my Grandma (who has just passed away months ago)! She used to make spaghetti with sausage, carrot and tomato ketchup! And I totally agree with the word "fishy" :)
