Simple recipe to share:-
Ingredients
400g meehoon (rice vermicelli), soaked and drained
chinese cabbage
Kaffir lime leaves (cut small pieces)
carrot (shredded)
Onion (shredded)
Fresh prawn
chicken breast meat (slices)
fish ball / fish cake (slices)
chopped garlic
water
Seasoning:-
light soy sauce
salt
dark soy sauce(for coloring)
sugar
pepper
Garnishing:-
red chilli (shredded)
parsley (chopped)
Method :
1. Heat up oil, saute the chopped garlic until fragrant.
2. Add in kaffir lime leaves, prawn, fish cake and chicken breast meat, stir-fry until meat cooked.
3. Add in water and cooked till boiled. Add seasoning and stir well. Mix meehoon and stir well.
4. Add shredded carrot and shredded chinese cabbage.
5. Stir-fry until meehoon is cooked
6. Dish up and garnish with red chilli and parsley

I can smell the kaffir lime already. I will pluck the lime leaves from my garden and cook this soon.

Anncoo, so good, you have kaffir lime in your garden, usually I go to wet market to buy some (about RM0.50/bundle).

Meehoon is one of my favorites, whether in soup or fried. This sure looks good esp with the prawns! Kaffir leaf definitely adds to the aroma.
I'm loving this dish. I starting growing a kaffir lime tree in my garden. I'm always looking for new recipes using the fragrant leaf, thanks for sharing!
I am sure this fried mee hoon taste really good with the additional of kaffir lime leaves. What a great idea. I must remember to try this out the next time I cook mee hoon.
