hi sonia,
your pancake is really fluffy and tasty.. if i'm using all purpose flour how much of baking powder should i use...?? how many did u made with this weight of flour? and one last question, do i need to let the batter wait a while before start to fry it?
Jane, I think 1/2tsp baking powder should be enough. I forgot to count, let me think, I think about 14pcs but this also depend on the size of pancake. If time allow, you can let it rest for 15mins. But this time I did not wait and straight away fry it , the end result still good .
Your pancake look like very spongy...i like!!
好喜欢你家的小花园,爱这里吃着亲手做的松饼很棒^^

I love the soft appearance of your pancakes. Your photo of them is wonderful. For your reader who asked about all-purpose flour - for each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

i love fluffy pancakes!!!
these look wonderful!!
Sonia, Mary being so helpful! Yes, your pancake looks really well risen. I think the smaller the size the better it rises. I've been making pancakes very often but can't bother to make a nice sizing. Just fill in the pan and quickly finish whatever batter left. hahaha.... Normally, we had it for brunch not breakfast. I don't like cooking early in the morning. Just take coffee and crackers biscuit or bread for breakfast. You have a lovely weekend.

Hi Sonia,
Did you amend the recipe? I remember when you first shared this recipe it is without oil....or I remember wrongly.
I made ur pancake in May, ever since that it comes my favourite pancake recipe. It's very easy and nice. Love it. I will be sharing in my blog too.
Thank you.
I am bookmarking this recipe of yours for my weekend breakfast. Your pancakes sure look light and fluffy. Thanks for sharing your beautiful recipe. I would love to share another favourite pancake recipe with you which was adapted from Australian MasterChef

where to buy maple syrup?
hii!! i've tried making my pancakes...but they were not as fluffy as yours. i made my batter a night earlier, let it rest in room temp for an hour then put it into the fridge...is that why it didn't turn out to be fluffy?
and i pan fried it with a bit with oil.
please let me know where are my mistakes :(
Ice, i guess it was due to you keep it overnight and the rising agent in self raising flour no more active. Make the batter as soon as you want to make pancake .
Thanks a lot Sonia!
I will try it again tmrw n let u know the outcome!
i made it! perfect!! thanks a lot!
Hi Sonia,
Can i replace sugar with honey?
If so, how much honey shuold i put?
Thank you :)
Love the breakfast on the patio. Pancakes and the coffee cups with the garden background look very very inviting.
Hi, Sonia.
I have tried your recipe. The pancakes are really fluffy! I topped it with banana and toffee sauce instead of maple syrup. It tastes so good!
Thanks for sharing your great recipe!
Hi,
Are you able to provide a fluffy pancakes recipe with 100g self raising flour? How much milk will I have to add if I'm not using any eggs?
Thanks
Hi Sonia,
Can I replace the corn oil with olive oil?
Christine, I don't advise to replace with olive oil as the taste is a bit strong .
Hi Sonia,
Ok, noted. Thanks for the tips :)
Sounds and looks great. I love pancakes for breakfast when I have the time. I like the idea of putting syrup on top.
Hi Sonia. I don't have enough self raising flour so I replaced the balance with 50g of cake flour and 1 tsp baking powder. I was amazed by how fluffy it has turned out, just like the hotcakes from Mc Donaldson and even better and fluffier. NOW I have run out of self raising flour. Can I know what is the substitute amount of cake flour and baking powder? 😄 this is the best pancake recipe I have tried so far! Thank you!
Nic, same amount of cake flour, baking powder i will suggest 3/4tsp or 1tsp
