Nara Koen 奈良公園 and Nara's deer, Osaka Japan

On our last day in Osaka, we decided to visit Nara park instead of Kobe. At first we were thinking to try the most expensive Kobe beef in Kobe, but last minutes dropped the idea since we have never seen a park that has hundreds of freely roaming deer.

We took about 45mins from Osaka to Nara by JR train. Then we took bus from the train station to Nara Park. This is the bus route map..

The first sight soon we entered this park, many deers just freely walking around..excited to see so many deers..the name of deers here is Sika deer, you can read more details here

Those deer are so pretty. It amazes me how different the deer are from each country. Take care Diane

Wow, that is a hug & beautiful ancient temple. The structure is awesome. Japanese is actually a Buddhist too but don't know why there are other funny funny prayers for example praying a black box. Other than that visiting the park is so much fun & exciting. You've taken so many gorgeous pictures. Love them.
Enjoy your vacation, dear.

This brings back so many memories! I was like one of those school kids before. :) We went to Nara for 6th grade trip and I was chased by deer too!! Nara is a little far from Osaka and I rarely get to visit, so it was fun seeing your photos and seeing some familiar places again.
