Osaka Castle 大阪城天守閣, Japanese breakfast, Udon lunch, Osaka Japan

The main attraction in Osaka is this Osaka Castle..

We were staying at Shin-Osaka station hotel  (just located beside the Shin-Osaka train station, convenient to move around, but very pricey (it was booked by our office counterpart )..But i enjoyed their delicious Japanese breakfast every morning..less oily and delicious! Especially the poached egg, just perfect and love the sauce ( couldn't figure out how they make the sauce, need to search for the recipe)

We took bus when we were in Kyoto, but in Osaka, take train is the most convenience choice..
We found out the buying one day pass during weekend is cheaper than weekday..

Hi Sonia,
The poached egg you mentioned is actually onsen egg with dashi (konbu dashi+mirin+soy sauce, and other stuff to taste).

Btw, does "Anson and Sonia" sound familiar to you?

Hi Sonia, by the look, the udon noodles must be delicious with freshly made udon. The castle is really unique.

Osaka castle! My kids love visiting there every year (my grandparents, now only grandma live near the castle). Onsen tamago's sauce is easy: dashi (this is the key so use good dashi) + usukuchi soy sauce (light color soy sauce (not less salt one, we use light color one) + mirin + sake + salt. Very easy to make. :)

Indeed, those stones are huge... the Egyptians, the Incas come to my mind!
What do we know about these Osaka?
