I was enjoyed this crunchy pickled green chilies with a special food from Anson Perak (安順). I guess you know what I am referring to right? ^_^
This recipe just nice to fit a recycle of  Tauchu (fermented soy beans paste) glass jar.

Hey there is a type of green chili from Thailand, found in trengganu and kelantan which is very spicy. When made into pickle and eat with noodles/mihun it's totally bombastic. Not cili padi. Much nicer than those green chili which we have here. Those were light green in colour.

Sonia, agree agree. Even the wonton mee that I bought from here also serves with this pickled green chillies. And I must say my hometown, Teluk Intan's famous chee cheong fun too, it's a must to eat with the pickled chilli. I love the 1st shot very much, so green, so natural! I made wonton mee the other day but didn't have the sight of the pickle chilli, oops!

I can totally see my husband gets excited over these pickled green chilies! I once tried to cut chlies with bare hands and they got swallowed from allergy. I had no idea but maybe that's why my stomach cannot tolerate much spice... I just remember the incident when I saw green chilie picture here. :D

Thanks for this Sonia! I mean I love you! Im a Filipino who used to work here in Singapore but my husband still working here so I keep on coming back (more so for the food hehe) and everytime I'm back to the Philippines I miss SG food like crazy so I try to make them myself. unfortunately no Singaporean restaurant there has food as good like you ge here. I tried making this green chili before and it tasted funny. will try this again using your recipe. I have to do a lot of ingredient shopping soon. BTW, can I request for the long bean dish that's usually served in nasi lemak stalls? or in those economic food stalls? I tried cooking that its not the same and the cabbage dish which I think is cooked the same way as the long bean. will be waiting!! Thanks so much! can I say that I love Singapore? Been here since 2008 :)
