On the last day at Roma / Rome, since we still have time in the morning, we visit another market - Campo de Fiori . I remembered Terri mentioned about this market in her Italy travel post but she missed to make a trip here. So I went there on behalf of her ^_^. Anyway, this market is smaller than Mercato Centrale at Firenze/Florence, and it is located at a open space

I like to walk through pasar "market " whenever I visit a country, a best place to get the fresh local ingredients. Mercato Centrale is a old market since 1874..

Oh, if you have a chance to visit Firenze / Florence, don't forgot to visit Piazzale Michelangelo, they have the most beautiful panorama view of Firenze city ! furthermore, you don't need to pay a single cent to view this awesome view..And remind me of the popular Hong Kong drama " 衝上雲霄1 ".

After Riomaggiore, we have to somehow skip Corniglia (due to train schedule & availability) , but proceed to 3rd train stop at Vernazza.

I didn't know Cinque Terre (CT) until I read Terri (A Daily Obsession) 's Italy travel post. And I know I must visit this beautiful fishing villages along the rugged coast of north-west Italy. What I planned was staying at Florence but make a day trip to CT. At the same time, we also can stop at Pisa since train to La Spezia Centrale also pass by Pisa.

At first I was thinking to skip Pisa but last minutes we decided to stop by this small city while we heading to CT.  I afraid later I will regret not visit this world's famous leaning tower ^_^. It took less than an hour train ride from Firenze.

After left Venice, we reached to this beautiful city Firenze / Florence.

I have to quickly update the Italy travel post, as my memory started to fade out..since this trip was in Apr 2013.
We only stayed one night at Venice (because too many places to visit ^_^). The next morning, we dropped the idea of travel to nearby island like Burano island (colourful painted houses) and Murano island ( famous of glass making). Instead we chosen to explore this beautiful island by foot.

After Rome, the next destination we went to Venice. A place that I have been dreaming to visit, Thanks to my sweet hubby fulfill my dream..

Here come the last update of Roma. After Roma, the next destination is Venice.

After we left Vatican museum , we continue our walk to Ponte Sant' Angelo, meaning the Bridge of Hadrian.

After we left St. Peter's Basilica, we went to Vatican Museums which is just located beside the St.Peter's Basilica. And we experienced the long waiting time (1 and 1/2hr) to enter this museum (I heard if booked online will be faster).
There are many famous statues, frescos (is a technique of mural painting executed upon freshly laid lime plaster ) and tapestries(textile art) in this museum. Even though I am neither an art person nor a Christian, but still find them awesome !! This is famous "The Creation of Adam " fresco painted on the ceiling of  Sistine Chapel (this photo taken from a postcard as we were not allowed to take picture in the Sistine Chapel ^_^).

Ok, lets continue with my Italy travel post. This post is related to those places we went on Day 2. I watch again  movie " Angels and Demons" before go Italy, and I was so excited and looking forward to see those places especially Vatican City that shown in the movie. And I also learnt that Vatican City is a smallest country/state in the world.

After Piazza Venezia , we proceeded to the next destination and this place also one of the place that I wanted to see the most in this Italy trip beside Venice, Fontana di Trevi. In this post, I still talking about the places that I visited in Day 1 (half day afternoon), can you imagine in half day time I already shared few places, hehehe. One thing good about Roma is that that the city is easy to walk in and famous structures are close by to each other, so long you wear a pair of comfortable shoes. I found my shoes still not the best shoes, still looking for a pair of good shoes for travelling, any suggestion?

At the end of  the walk of Via dei fori imperiali road, we reached to Victor Emmanuel II Monument (a monument dedicated to King Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy) at  Piazza Venezia (Piazza=square). The weather was hot, we quickly entered inside the building to enjoy some cool air..

We left the crowded place at Colosseum, continue our walk to Via dei fori imperiali ( a road that in the city center of Roma) , and passing by Roman Forum and heading to Piazza Vienna.

Happy Mother's Day to all ! For me, this day is another normal day! For my mom, I have celebrated with her yesterday. As for me, no one at home is planning something for me...I understand since they are still young..
Ok, since I have free time today, let me update about my recent trip to Italy..
Colloseum, the first place we visited on the 1st day of arrival to Roma ( Rome in English)..
