My husband's friend brought us to this restaurant which serve Hue Cuisine ( click the link to learn more). This restaurant also can be reached within walking distance from where we stayed.
- King Rice, topped with prawn floss, chicken and pork meat inside the rice. They also have Queen Rice (something like rice with crab meat and prawn). The taste just ok.
-This was the best, shrimp paste on sugarcane skewers, to eat together by wrapping spring roll skin with fresh herbs.
-Beef noodle
- Shrimp pancake, this is also nice..
- Vietnamese Spring roll, very refreshing due to a lot fresh herbs added in..
- Vermicelli and beef, this can be easily found in Vietnamese restaurant in MY.
-Sweet end with Ginger tea and dried ginger, surprisingly good..

We don't have some of the dishes served there, like shrimp pancake and king rice. The king rice looks interesting!
Bakeling, ya, the sping roll is super nice.
Rachel, the lighting there was quite dark, I have to use Picasa to lighten the color, otherwise you wont see so nice.
LCOM, actually the King rice is just normal steamed rice by added some chicken and pork meat, the taste just normal only, but we gave a try because the special name, hehehe..
The dishes you took photos of look so delicious. The shrimp pancake is new to me and so is shrimp paste on sugar cane skewers. Yum!
Sonia, wow great food!! looks like you truely had a great time in HCM!!
So this is Hue Cuisine, I had it before but I didn't know it's call Hue Cuisine. Interesting...
The food there definitely looks delicious! The spring roll looks especially tasty!
The hotel you and your hubby stayed in must be in a prime location, you can walk to so many cool places!
love vietnamese food always. especially their spring rolls! aiks... sadly, cant take beef. wondering hor it tastes
they look really tempting, i remember viet food to be sour all the time except for the spring roll. but they look lovely in your pics
other central dishes to try: mì quảng, cơm hến and bánh bèo but try to find them outside of aircon spots for better flavor at 1/3 of the price :).
